FAQ

How do I know if I have a claim?
If you were involved in the accident caused by another person and sustained injuries, you have the right to make a claim for compensation.

When can I make my claim?
As a rule, a claim should be made within three years after the accident happened. However, there are some exceptions to this rule, which depend on the nature of accident, sustained traumas, and the circumstances of the victim. If you want to know more about these exceptions, contact our lawyers.

Can I claim if I do not know who caused the accident?
Sometimes it is impossible to identify who is guilty of the accident. This is typical for criminal injury claims, as well as for so-called “hit and run” road accidents when the driver is untraced. When defendant is not identified, we are not able to get back our legal costs. Thus if we make a claim on your behalf, you will have to pay the legal costs of your compensation. We always try to keep these costs minimal, and will explain everything before we start working on your claim.

If the accident happened at work, can my employer fire me if I make a claim?
If you suffered from work-related injuries because of unsafe working environment or the employer’s negligence, the employer will even not consider firing you. Each employer is obliged to guarantee safety of workers.

Can get compensation if the accident happened abroad?
Yes! We can help you make injury compensation claim even if the accident happened abroad. For example, you can make a claim if you have been injured in the airport, plane, train, or hotel.

Will people think less of me if I male compensation claim?
Definitely not! An accident can happen to anyone. If you have been injured in an accident caused by another person, you have the right to get compensation for the suffered injuries and losses.

What will it cost me to claim?
We take care of all costs until the claim is settled. If we win all the expenses are covered by the party at fault.

What if I lose my claim?
You do not pay or lose any money even if the claim is unsuccessful. If we lose the claim, the expenses are recovered from an insurance policy.

How much compensation will I get?
The compensation amount depends on each given case. Usually, it is assigned basing on a number of factors as type of sustained injuries, income, financial losses you have suffered as a result of accident and/or injuries, etc.

When will I get my compensation?
No one can tell for sure when a given case will be settled. Some cases are settled in a matter several weeks, while others require months and even years to be settled. Everything depends on how complicated a case is.

Will I need to go to court?
This is very unlikely. Usually, the facts about who was at fault in any particular accident are clear. Most insurance companies do not want spending time and money defending a hopeless case in court. Thus, over 90% of all claims are settled without going to court.

Will I have to go to the lawyer’s office?
If you want to talk to your lawyer in person, you can arrange an appointment. Alternatively, you can receive and discuss information about your claim by telephone and/or mail.
